It Almost Seems Real...

Well I can't believe how official everything in my life for my last semester of college is becoming!! I am registered (well somewhat... I need two more classes...) and I got my second internship!!!!!!! And where I wanted it too!  I was way excited when I got the email saying that the woman from DWH Navigation wanted to interview me!! :) The interview went really well.  Then she called me back a week later asking me if I wanted the internship and of course I said yes!! :) I just can't believe how close I am getting to graduating!!! I'm so excited! I'm excited to have my bachelor's degree in 3 years! Then I'll be off on a grand adventure and what that is... I'm not sure yet. I have a few things I'm hoping for but we'll see if things work out the way I want them too.

Goodbye Friend

The bottom sort of.... fell off my frying pan today. I was rather shocked when it happened. But I guess this means I can start using my non-stick pans that my wonderful sister in law Amy passed down to me right before starting college. Well she passed this frying pan down to me too... Amy just know that it was well used! :) Thanks a bunch!

Everyday it's getting better

This weekend was really fun!!! I got a huge final project done, went to Savior of the World with my roommate Jenessa and really good friend Autumn.  I watched Despicable Me with my roommates and The Tourist with some good friends from the social work program. (Both are excellent movies by the way.)
If you ever have a chance to see this, take it!! It was an incredible performance.  I know that my faith and love for the Savior grew from this.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE these little guys from Despicable me!! They're hilarious. And if you haven't seen Despicable me yet... well you should go rent it as soon as possible, because it's a funny movie!!

Well this is a really of what I have been up to lately(or at least the last couple of days). I'm trying to get a blog post up once a week...(lucky for you guys I got multiple up this week!)  Well it's off to starting another week and hopefully getting most everything done with school!! :) Minus a final or two.

Father of the Year Award

The Father of the Year Award is going to my father Micheal Davidson.  He is just the best dad out there.  I am working on a big paper that could possibly change my life forever and I sent him a copy of my rough draft.  Then he called me and we talked about it and worked on it together for 2 hours! We just barely got off the phone 20 minutes ago.  We talked about ways that we could fix my paper for the better and ways to word things to make it sound more professional and to impress the people I want to impress. So that is why my dad is the best dad EVER! He loves me and works with me when he knows there is something important in my life. I feel bad for all the times I was not the greatest daughter but am so thankful that he loves me and looks past my flaws and sees the good in me.  Dad, I love you!!

Motivation or the semi lack thereof?

Dear Motivation,
PLEASE come back!! I need you to finish out this week. It won't kill you to help me do all the little things I need to do before Friday will it?? And promise it won't kill me?
Love, Me

Right now I'm lacking the motivation to do something that I really want to do. Sorry for the secrecy of what I'm doing... cause I'm not quite sure I want everyone to know about it just yet. Keeping it to myself for a while... or until the end of the week when I finish said secret project or when I can't keep it to myself anymore? :)

The Last Couple of Weeks

I have been meaning to update my blog for the past couple of weeks. It has been really busy the last couple of weeks.
It was frustrating for a while because it seemed like everyday something was breaking or I was hurting myself.  It started with my curling iron deciding it hated me and wanted to break. Then a couple of days later while brushing my hair the handle on my brush just broke off and I just couldn't believe it! Then later that week I was getting ready to go out with some friends and I was cleaning off my counter by my curling iron (can you see where this is going??) and I burned my finger...(and I don't have a picture of that but I'm going to have a scar!) But fortunately it seems that my bad luck has changed and I haven't hurt myself in like a week? :)

Then it was my roommate Heather's birthday. So my other roommate Jenessa and I decided to throw a surprise birthday party for her.  (Mainly Jenessa did this part...) We gave her clues with presents from different people all week that got put into a puzzle that eventually led her back to our apartment the night of her surprise party. The people who helped with giving her the gifts were our manager, our FHE brothers, a random guys apartment and a random girls apartment, then one of Jenessa's friends.  And they pretty much all gave it away! It was a little annoying.  But overall it was really fun! The surprise party was Saturday night and her actually birthday was Sunday. So we had people over for dinner on Sunday too. :)

The balloons that I blew up in my room at like 2 in the morning then hid in my closet so Heather wouldn't see them before her party.
Heather! and some more of my decorations... :) We had 45 minutes to decorate. So it was really thrown together but it looked fun!

A Not so Fun Adventure

So tonight I was trying to cut out a gross part of a potato because I wanted to eat the potato for dinner (I still love potatoes!). While I was in the process of doing that I stabbed myself with my knife.... and it hurt (and still does 2 hours later and with some pain medications in my system)!!! While it wasn't fun and I was bleeding, I can be thankful that the cut was only skin deep and not something that required a trip to the ER for stitches. Though I am excited for the swelling to go down and I kinda want to see what the bruise looks like... cause I started to get a bruise. :) I guess there can be a bright side to everything.

It's a potato life! :)

Today at my internship we had a food bank. This is where people who are below a certain income with a certain amount of people in their family/living in their home are able to come in and receive food.  It's a pretty awesome resource for the people who really need it. There is so much work behind it! (I should know... I spent hours working on making up boxes of commodity food and then there will be more hours of trying to make sure everyone is in the system and all that jazz...)
Well we were giving out sacks of potatoes and at the end of the day, there were still potatoes! So my supervisor told me to take some home. She gave(really made me take) 3 five pound bags of potatoes.  Now I'm stuck in trying to decide what to do with 15 pounds of potatoes before they all go bad. (Good thing I love potatoes! (Maybe I won't so much in a week... we'll see.))  I made hash browns tonight. :) I made lots so I can use the left overs.
They tasted super yummy! Just cut up the potatoes and then add a little canola oil and salt.

Then my supervisor told me that if you leave potatoes in sunlight they'll turn green. And since I'm an extremely curious person I decided that I wanted to see if it would happen. I'm hoping that this potato doesn't disappear over night or tomorrow during the day cause I really want to see what happens! (Maybe I shouldn't leave it out over night... but I'll probably forget to put it out in the morning...)
