A Great Read!

This book is absolutely FABULOUS!! I've been hearing about them from all of my friends and I have been wanting to read them.  One of my roommates told me that she had them and I could borrow them... I read the first one(as pictured above) in 2 days and was absolutely in love with it.  I have been talking to some of my other friends outside of the Mormon bubble and they haven't heard about it... but I guess the main reason I've heard all about it is I live in Rexburg...? But anyway, these books are really good so y'all should read this trilogy.

Internship Search Part 3... :)

This is such a happy post!!! :) I have an internship winter semester!!!!!!! :) Let me repeat that I have an INTERNSHIP winter semester. :) :) :)
Today both my interviews went really well and I could have done either one. (I had to decide?? I hate decisions!)  I decided to go with Adult Protection(APS) with EICAP. It was the first interview I had this morning and she just promised me the internship right there at my interview. (which was awesome and completely made my day)  I considered not going to my other interview and just accepting her offer but I decided I better go but all day I was absolutely positive I was taking APS and I did. It felt like the right thing to do. So yeah that's my story and it's fun and great and I'm happy.  And the other place I interviewed might take me as an intern next fall semester. So it really worked out well. :) I know Heavenly Father put me where I was going to do the best and really helped me find it. I'm so extremely grateful for that.

Internship Search part 2

I have two interviews on Monday!!!! I'm so excited!!! :) I just found out about them in the last hour or so. :) So pray that I'll do well in my interviews!!

Internship Search part 1

Well probably not very many of you know that I am searching for an internship for next semester. The process so far has been stressful for me. I went to the internship fair the Social Work department puts on to help us.  I didn't get any response from any of the agencies. Which was ok. I figured that I probably would have to work on getting an internship considering I'm not the most charismatic person in the program. I waited for a couple of weeks as all the agencies sent out their interview lists and there was one agency (who wasn't at the fair but got a lot of resumes sent to them the next week) to send out their interview list. So yesterday I figured it had been a couple of weeks and I needed to start calling other people on the internship list who weren't at the internship fair.  I tried calling 10 people I only got a hold of about 4 or 5 and left messages with the ones I could (some places I called I had absolutely no idea what their system was about and couldn't figure out how to get a hold of the person I wanted). I talked to 2 people who said they couldn't take interns or they didn't need them for the next semester. I went to tell the social work secretary that those people weren't taking interns so that other people who tried to call wouldn't have to call and could try and get an internship too. While I was talking to her, she told me that one of my professors was going to email me.  I got 3 emails from him today. I was kinda funny cause the emails were almost one right after another. One of them said that someone from the internship fair was interested in interviewing me! :) :) I was so excited! I want to do that one because it sounded really interesting. So I'm in the process of setting up an interview with her right now. :D So cross your fingers and wish me luck but don't forget to pray for me so that I can get an internship! :)

Change is good... Right?

Helllllo bangs! I decided that I look good in bangs a few days ago and decided I wanted to get them cut since I needed a trim anyway.  Unfortunately you don't get the full bangs in this picture because the lady at the salon made them too thick! Boo! So only the bangs I like are down the rest are pulled back by a bobby pin(but I dunno if I'll go into that much effort every day to pull them back?) But anyway I'm planning on growing out the part I don't like and keeping the part I do (which is shown in this picture).
Ps for Michelle... I'm wearing the blue BYU sweatshirt you gave me for Christmas lots of years ago. :) I hope that makes you happy that I still like it and think of you whenever I wear it.

I voted!

I am so excited! I just voted in the election for this year. :) :) I felt like I really needed to vote this year and a few weeks ago I sent in for an absentee ballot.  I wasn't quite sure I was going to get it before the election because when I sent for one in the 2008 election... well I got it 3 days after the election so my opinion of absentee ballots weren't very high...
But this afternoon when I checked the mail, this yellow envelope was in it!!! I was so excited I ripped open the envelope as fast as I could when I got back into my apartment so I could vote. So I'm kinda silly.
The only down side to voting via absentee ballot is I didn't get a sticker saying "I voted" or a treat for voting... But still, I did what I was supposed to do! :)

2 am

Dear 2 am,
I am totally and completely fine with our meetings when I am asleep.  Our meetings when I am awake however are NOT ok. Please please please let me sleep.
Sincerely, Cherilyn Davidson

So you all can tell that it is 2 am and obviously I am not asleep. Grrr. I tried I promise but somehow my brain keeps thinking. I still haven't quite figured out how to turn it off. Not a good thing. Well sorry for my complaints but I am just tired of being awake. *yawn*
