A Little Piece of Bliss

 

This amazingness is know as tempura bananas. The bananas are dipped in a sauce then deep fried and it is soo incredibly good! :) It is sold at a little restaurant in Rexburg called the Pineapple Grill.

Thursday...

So today a group of girls and I from my Mental Health class went to the Mental Health Court in Idaho Falls.  We had to leave Rexburg by 6:10 am to get to the courthouse by 7 am. For those of you who know me well know I am not an early morning person.  It was hard to get up at 5 to get ready to be out the door by 6. But it was totally worth it. :) I have been saying that I would be willing to work anywhere in social work as long as I would be able to get a job, but I have always been thinking that I was a little bit apprehensive about working with people with a mental illness.  But today was such a good experience. I really am interested in doing an internship with the people from the A.C.T. team who help with the mental health court.  And the internship fair for the internships in the winter is next week... So maybe I'll make a good impression. :)

Just a Silly Moment

I was making my self some hot cocoa and I felt like playing with the spoon... :) It was a little bit hard to get it balanced exactly right but I did it! haha. And I was able to walk around my apartment without it falling off... that takes skill!! (maybe I should be spoon girl for Halloween... nah)   Just so ya know this is not what I am learning in college (I'm learning real skills... like learning how to run a therapeutic group and lots of other fun exciting stuff!).
Another note about this picture, I curled my hair today. Something I am not often known to do and it made me happy. So I guess I should do it more often? We'll see... it depends on my mood when I'm getting ready.

Ever have one of those Days?

My day was going super great until my alarm clock went off and reminded me I was a college student and had to get up so I could go to class. (boo!)  But I got up and went to class and was happy for it. :)  Today was a good day. I went to class and learned all about social work stuff. Today was a good day!! But tomorrow will be even better! Because it'll be FRIDAY!!!! yay!!

Bet Ya Didn't Know

Have any of you scrolled down a little bit on my blog and looked at the blue button with the Salt Lake Temple saying I believe?  Well if you have seen it... you might not have known that it was a link to my profile on mormon.org.  I created a mormon.org profile for those people who are investigating the church.  I think that it was such a great tool that the church created for their members to create profiles to help with missionary work!  It's exciting! So to all of you friends that are members and haven't created a profile... You should! It helps in the missionary work! And remember every member a missionary. :)

Back to School?

Today is the first day of Fall semester! Yippee! I am a 2nd semester Junior! :) (it is weird to think I am a Junior in college!) Though technically I just finished summer session classes a week ago, I am really excited to start this semester.  I just like to be busy. I have been really bored this past week trying to find things to do.

My View

This is the view from in front of my door to my apartment. I can see the temple! Which is awesome! I love being able to see the temple everyday. :) Then there is a limo across the street... I don't know why it is there or who owns it... but I think it is interesting that it is there.
